We provide a web-based voting system:- A ballot can be held at short notice
- Results of the ballot can be processed very rapidly.
- We rely on you providing a confidential e-mail list of the people entitled to vote. These people will be given a personal password, and no-one else can vote.
- You would also provide us with the text of the questions to be voted on, and the text of the mail message to be sent out to people on the voters roll.
- The voters will then be able to login to our website and vote.
- We maintain a list of people who have not voted, and can send targeted reminders to just those people. We have found that this improves the response rate (typically 82% compared with 67% unprompted) while not annoying people who have already voted with unwanted reminders.
- Confidentiality of the voting process is assured. It is not possible for even our staff to know how any individual has voted.
- Where some people do not have an e-mail address, instructions can be mailed to them on how to access the website to vote, including their password.
We do not conduct ballots using voting papers. Other organizations provide that type of service. The service that we provide relies on the speed of internet communication to contact members inviting them to vote, and enables speed of processing which is simply not possible with traditional voting systems.
